In a heartbreaking turn of events, a 7-year-old girl at the center of an AMBER Alert issued out of East Tennessee on Thursday morning has been found deceased.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) reported that the AMBER Alert had been issued for Serenity Alanna Marie Kinsey from Jefferson County. Serenity was last seen at her home along Indian Creek Road in Dandridge around 1 a.m. on Thursday. At the time, she was wearing black shorts and a blue shirt. The young girl had autism and was nonverbal, which heightened the urgency of the search.
The search came to a devastating conclusion when a dive team discovered Serenity’s body in a lake near her home, according to the TBI.
